The 20 longest-range electric motorcycles: in 2024

There are many long-range e-motorbikes available on the market today, suitable for a variety of purposes such as a mobile workstation, comfy cruiser, or fast sports bike that can cover a quarter mile and still have enough range to bring you home.

Moving 40 miles at RM1

The RM1 appears to have emerged from the 1930s. This cruiser is a desirable option for travellers travelling up to forty miles each day due to its vintage appearance and paint job. You can choose to add another battery to increase the range to 80 miles if you like the design but still have a lot of miles to go. Charging a single battery will take about 3.5 hours. It has a GPS tracker installed and weighs only 110 lbs. The single battery option starts at £5995, while the dual battery option costs £6990.

Bumblebee Stingray – 40 miles

The Stingray’s 40-mile range makes it an ideal city cruiser, even if it was designed with the future in mind but with visual influences from the 1960s and 1970s. A 2000W electric motor provides power and a maximum speed of 30 mph. Every bike has an alarm, and customers may select from five different colors and, if they’d like, add a replacement battery. To ride the Stringray lawfully, a rider must be merely 16 years old and have completed a CBT. Prices are as low as £2495.

 Super Soco TC-Max – 60 miles

Because of its similar performance to a 125cc petrol motorbike, people as young as 17 years old with a provisional license can ride it. A 6.7 horsepower electric engine, with a reported top speed of 58 mph, is located beneath, and it can only propel 100 kg. Smart features like connected brakes, an alarm that locks the back wheel, and keyless ignition are included on the TC-Max; spoked wheels may be added for an extra £100. The battery is claimed to be good for 60 miles and can be charged in 3–4 hours using a household plug. The starting price is £3699.

Sondors Metacycle – 60 miles

For those looking for a minimalistic bike with a 60-mile range, the Metacycle may just be the answer. Buyers can place an order for £5271 and expect delivery late 2023. Its 4kW battery can be charged in around four hours on 110v although quick charging is also available. The 20bhp motor supports a top speed of 80mph while the bike is in its sportiest setting, and that is limited to 60mph in its normal driving mode.

Cake Osa+ – 69 miles

Cake refers to the Osa+’s modular form as a “workbench on wheels.” Front baskets, cargo nets, racking, seats, trailers, and even coloured windshields are options available to buyers. The Osa+’s base frame weighs just 97.5 kg, which translates into a top speed of 56 mph and a range of 69 miles for the 12-horsepower electric motor.

There are three riding modes to choose from, and each one caps the top speed to preserve range. Cake states that charging the Osa+ from 0% to 80% using a regular 110v outlet just takes two hours. The starting price is £9270.

 Horwin CR6 – 74 miles

The Horwin CR6 weighs 134 kg when the battery is attached. Its 8.9 horsepower electric engine allows it to reach a maximum speed of 54 mph, and its 3.96 kWh battery is supposed to provide 74 miles of range. From empty to full, charging from a domestic plug takes four hours and costs about 60p. The fuel tank functions as a lockable storage space with a USB charger, and the CR6 is equipped with an alarm as standard. The starting price is £5047.

 Vmoto ON-R – 93 miles

Two versions of Vmoto’s electric motorcycle will be available: ON-R (off-road) and OFF-R (on-road), with the latter having a unique tread pattern. Both motorcycles will have a 93-mile range, an aluminium frame, and high-travel suspension. Customers will soon have the option to specify an L1 configuration, which is like a 50cc bike, or an L3 configuration, which is like a 125cc bike.

The top speed will differ slightly: in the L3 arrangement, the OFF-R will reach 68 mph, while the ON-R will reach 56 mph. Vmoto claims that L1 models will charge from empty in under two hours, while the faster L3 will require three hours. Vmoto has not yet released retail pricing.

Triumph TE-1 – 100 miles

The eye-catching all-electric TE-1, which mainly borrowed from the Triumph Speed Triple’s design, was designed as a prototype to aid in the creation of a completely electric production model. Triumph has said that it is developing its first e-motorbike and that a new line of electric vehicles will be released when the TE-1 is unable to reach the market.

The TE-1 is a hybrid that combines performance and range. It can reach 60 mph from rest in only 3.6 seconds and 100 mph from rest in just 6.2 seconds. If driven responsibly, of course.

Triumph claims that it weighs 220 kg, charges from 0% to 80% in 20 minutes, and has an electric motor that produces a whopping 795 horsepower per tonne. Triumph has not released specific plans for its upcoming electric motorcycle, although it is expected that the new vehicle would cost between £25,000 and £30,000.

100 miles of Harley Davidson Livewire

Because the Livewire’s frame doesn’t have any big holes where an engine should be, it doesn’t appear out of place next to a traditional motorcycle. Instead, Harley Davidson installed a 100 horsepower electric motor, which, despite its modest output, fits the frame well and only weighs 254 kg. This translates to 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds, a 100-mile range, and a peak speed of 114 mph. Using a public fast charger just takes an hour, however, charging from empty to full via a 220v outlet takes eleven hours. The starting price is £22,990.

 110-mile Livewire S2 Del Mar

The S2 Del Mar is only available via reservation, however the Livewire is presently available for purchase. The S2 Del Mar is more bare, showing off the cooling gills at the side that resemble engines. The S2 Del Mar, according to Harley Davidson, can travel 110 miles, accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds, and charge from 20 to 80% in 75 minutes. It will only be 195 kg in weight, with 184 lb-ft of torque coming from the electric motor. Prices begin at £18,900, and delivery is anticipated in the latter part of 2023.

115 miles with zero DSR/X

With its long-travel suspension and off-road mode, the DSR/X is a versatile vehicle that can be used for off-roading and yet be a fast and comfortable cruiser. With its 102-horsepower electric motor, it can reach a top speed of 112 mph in less than 3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. However, aiming for these numbers will reduce its 115-mile range. From empty to full, charging takes about 2.7 hours; however, if a 6kW rapid charger is utilized, this time can be reduced to 1.6 hours. The starting price is £24,150.
