“BJP Claims Congress MPs Chanted ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ After Naseer Hussain’s Win”

In New Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to file a complaint with the police, alleging that pro-Pakistan slogans were raised in the Vidhan Soudha during celebrations of Naseen Hussain’s win. However, supporters of Nasir Hussain claim they were actually shouting “Naseer Saab Zindabad,” which was misinterpreted as “Pakistan Zindabad” by some BJP leaders.

Meanwhile, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, speaking to X, criticized Rahul’s Congress for electing Nasser Hussein, a sitting MP and political secretary of Mallikarjun Kharge, as an MP in the Rajya Sabha. Chandrasekhar claimed that supporters of this Congress MP were heard shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” inside the Vidhan Soudha building after his election, accusing the Congress of what he called “shameless and dangerous appeasement politics” even as Rahul Gandhi embarked on his Bharat Todo Yatra.

In a closely contested electoral battle in Karnataka, all three Congress candidates emerged victorious. Ajay Maken, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, and GC Chandrashekhar secured wins with narrow margins, receiving 47, 46, and 46 votes respectively.

After the three Congress candidates secured the three Rajya Sabha seats, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar expressed gratitude to all the party MLAs, emphasizing the unity and integrity of the Congress. He thanked all the MLAs, party workers, and the media, and expressed his happiness at the victory. He also extended thanks to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge for their support.
